museum installation update

ok, now its finally all over. the installation has been torn down and stuffed back into my studio. Tearing it down was just as fun as putting it together, maybe a little bit more exciting. I documented the process and added it to the original video, now you can see the building and destroying of the piece. Which is funny because that is the name of the installation, "build and destroy." I cant wait to do something like this again.

the next one will be on feb. 2 at Czar in Ybor City. Tampa, Fl.
here is the flyer

Now Ive got to get back to doing my school work.

Tampa Museum of Art installation

Ok, so Lynda and I are finished with the installation. wheeeeeeeeeeeeewheeeeeee! finally. The show went really well and they counted over 2,000 people through the door. This has been one of the best shows I have been involved with. It is so awesome working with a good team of people who get stuff done and keep a positive attitude. Things tend to work so much better that way.

thank you to all who were involved and I look forward to the next one.

I put together a video documenting the process of the installation. I plan on documenting the de-installation process and adding it to the end of the video.

I will be documenting the installation today. so I will have some pictures uploaded soon.

getting started

The new year has started, so Im going to get this thing in motion. Its been an exciting and busy start to this year with some new projects in the works. Ive got a collaborative installation started with Lynda Bostrom happening right now at the Tampa Museum of Art. Which is set to open on jan. 18th. I will get some images updated on that soon. Also, coming up on Feb. 2, I will be part of another collaborative project with Marina William (photographer)--check her out here--> http://www.marinawilliams.com---- and Lynda Bostrom, this event is going to be a lot of fun. It will be a Collab. Fashion show. So the group will be creating an installation together as well as producing a fashion show. As soon as that happens I will get some images.

Also, I have been working with Geri X on her new album "Anthems of a Mended Heart, " which I also had the opportunity to design the CD and a T-shirt. I flew up to Wisconsin for a week during Christmas break and laid down some percussion tracks for her. We ended up recording like 15 songs in 3.5 days. It was a ton of fun and it was nice to see the snow for a week. We are going to have a cd release party sometime this month. I will update on that.

here is the flyer for the Tampa Museum Show on January 18th.
