Book coming out soon

Im in the process of putting together a collection of images from the past couple of years. I am planning on publishing all of this together in one book. Its a lofty task and I am almost half way there. here is a sample of a page out of my sketchbook from last year. It kind of related to my last post about conjoined twins.

sculpture sculpture culpture pture

here is a sculpture i made last year in a bronze casting class at Ringling. It is made out of bronze and colored with patina. Which is a process that involves staining metal with chemicals and heating them up to get different colors. It was a lot of fun to make and plan on making more sometime in the near future.

this piece is titled "Thoracopagus," which is a type of conjoined twin that is joined at the thorax and share a heart. This type of conjoined twin can not be separated without one or both of them dying. There is this place in Philly called the "Mutter Museum," which has a bunch of this kind of stuff on display. They have all types of specimens in jars and cases. They even have a death cast of the two most famous conjoined twins, "Chang and Eng," shown below. This place is definitely worth checking out.

Having these kind of shows and receiving a positive response is a good sign that tampa is heading in a good direction. I am very fortunate to be a part of the development of this city. And a big thank you to all of you out there who are putting forth the effort to help this city evolve. Every one helps out and thats what makes a great community.
