here is a sculpture i made last year in a bronze casting class at Ringling. It is made out of bronze and colored with patina. Which is a process that involves staining metal with chemicals and heating them up to get different colors. It was a lot of fun to make and plan on making more sometime in the near future.
this piece is titled "Thoracopagus," which is a type of conjoined twin that is joined at the thorax and share a heart. This type of conjoined twin can not be separated without one or both of them dying. There is this place in Philly called the "Mutter Museum," which has a bunch of this kind of stuff on display. They have all types of specimens in jars and cases. They even have a death cast of the two most famous conjoined twins, "Chang and Eng," shown below. This place is definitely worth checking out.
